There are three legs to theeffect’s integrated approach to recovery and transformation:

• faith community
• spiritual and recovery programming
• recovery facilities

These legs are either currently operating or are in the planning stages as we move forward and are geared to meet people wherever they are in life, from heavily addicted; to high-functioning but still in need of recovery and release from issues at some level; to those not addicted at all but looking for spiritual growth. Each of our three working areas is directed at people somewhere across this spectrum--addressing both physical and spiritual/psychological needs. Since they target different areas of transformation and recovery, the three areas also work together, either simultaneously or in sequence as people move from lower to higher functioning lifestyles.

All three areas are also blanketed and connected by a referral network that functions in a “triage” manner to get people from wherever they enter theeffect to where they need to go for help--whether within our system or outside of it. This “Help Me” network can connect people as needed to such basic things as food, financial assistance, rehab, counseling, shelter, job training/referral, spiritual mentoring, etc.
