First steps...
Before a person can become a part of a community of any kind, he or she needs the basic tools of life, which include sobriety--the abiliity to be present and connected. We have opened two affiliated treatment centers to cover the entire treatment spectrum from detox to residential care to day treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and outpatient and transitional care...all in the context of our overall recovery community.
Before we can begin the process of recovery with an addict, we need to establish a baseline of sobriety–detoxify the body and clear the mind enough to begin the conversation that can lead to spiritual awakening. California Coast Detox and Rehab provides the detox and residental treatment needed to begin the journey to recovery.

Encompass Recovery continues the treatment process by offering full day treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and outpatient and transitional care. Encompass can also create individualized treatment programs to fit specific needs as addicts, alcoholics, and those with other compulsive behavior patterns become more functional and able to move toward a self-sustaining life.
Encompass also provides transitional care: life skills and life/financial planning, resume building, job seeking assitance, sober companionship, and aftercare.

a recovery community
In addition to formal treatment, we’ve learned that true transformation, recovery, and rehabilitation is not possible without immersion in an authentic community. Our treatment centers are located on the same campus as our recovery community, so theeffect helps create ongoing relationships and focuses on encouraging and helping people to actively engage in their own recovery--that is, taking their recovery programs into every moment and every aspect of their lives.
theeffect community offers specific recovery programs, but also creates an ongoing and seamless community presence through daily gatherings and activities such as studies, discussion groups, social and youth-centered events, classes, and workshops. Counseling and mentoring services are available, and theeffect also hosts over 20 AA, NA, and Al-Anon meetings on site each week--everything people need to repair their relationships, families, jobs, and baseline ability to live in community. Please see our website for a complete calendar of activities and events.
